2024 Summer Intern: Data Ventures, Product Management
The Internship
Held over an 11-week period during the summer of 2024 for grad level students graduating between December 2024 and August 2025. The paid internship will prepare associates for a career with Data Ventures. Work on a meaningful project, network with industry experts, and develop your skills at the Fortune 1 as you explore Northwest Arkansas at our HQ!
About Data Ventures:
The Walmart Data Ventures team exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we’re seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with all cross functional members of our team – research, design, engineering, data science, and data analytics to prioritize and define product requirements
Collaborating and leading designers and developers in the creation and delivery of our products
Working closely with business stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and requirements. Therefore, strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Tracking the value delivered and adoption of our products
Ability to grasp technical concepts and translate into business impact/requirements
Experience with SQL and/or BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
Understanding of technologies used in the Data & Analytics area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2024-August 2025
- 0-2 years of full-time relevant experience
- Prior experience in Project Management, Product Management or Product Ownership, Information Systems, Consulting or related area - desired but not mandatory
- A successful candidate will not require sponsorship from Walmart for authorization to work now or in the future.
