Administrative Business Analyst
The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the administrative daily operations of large and complex departments in MSU IT. Responsibilities for this position include: providing administrative support, such as calendaring, financial and personnel tracking, and travel arrangements for the MSU IT executive director team; coordinating building-specific equipment, furniture, facilities, and access tasks; participating as a member of the department leadership team representing the administrative functions in planning and strategy; collaborating with department leadership on vendor quotes, and financial actions; authorizing purchases for supplies and services; analyzing data from department-level and university sources to create reports and presentations for the department; ensuring a high level of accuracy and verification of all work products including data, finance, personnel, reporting and tracking; interacting and working effectively with a wide range of staff, students, business stakeholders and MAU administrative teams; acting as a resource to the department on ensuring university and MAU process, policy and procedures are understood and adhered; creating, reviewing, and maintaining department process and policies, while seeking improvements that benefit the mission of the MAU; acting as a liaison for the department with MAU level financial, facilities, communications, and human resources teams; coordinating with MAU and external sources on department trainings, events and large meetings. This role is primarily onsite at the MSU IT offices in the Computer Center.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures, or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
