Animation Intern

Responsibilities:

● Collaborating with the client and production team members to understand needs, review
scripts, design storyboards, and create and edit animations.
● Using software and other techniques to produce animations.
● Listening to feedback and altering animations to better suit Khem Fest needs.
● Ensuring that the final product aligns with the needs of Khemfest and is delivered on
time without exceeding the budget.
● Presenting the final animated piece to Khemfest organizational team for their approval.
● Using creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual
form.
● Researching industry trends and developments and learning new applications.

Khem Fest is an annual convention founded by comic book creator and educator Naseed
Gifted in 2015 that celebrates black creators of animation, comic books and gaming. The goal of the event is to use comic books, animation, films and popular culture to develop youth literacy and expression through S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology Engineering, Arts and Math).

Khem Animation Film Festival (KAFF) the newest addition to the Khem Fest to acknowledge
and celebrate the outstanding creative talent we have within Animation, VFX and gaming
industries. KAFF will have animation short film screenings throughout the day and an Awards Ceremony in the evening.
