LEAD Associate - Commercial

The LEAD program is an accelerated growth career program that takes two years on
average and emphasizes your experience in leadership and career development. The
program has a comprehensive framework, depending on your chosen field, that covers
on-the-job training through sub-functional and cross-functional rotations, stretch
assignments and learning and training.


When you embark on your journey with us, you will participate in two-week onboarding
programs to learn about the company and all important areas of the organization. You will
also be guided by various managers at different stages of the project and coached by a
mentor who is usually a leader of the organization.


Towards the end of the journey, you will be assessed on your overall performance and
provided a job placement opportunity if you are performing well. You will also pair with a
buddy who is a program associate to support each other throughout the journey.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • 24 months cross-departmental rotations with customized development plans. Each
    rotation can vary from 4-8 months depending on the projects and tasks that you will
    be assigned.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN COMMERCIAL WILL INCLUDE

  •  Will complete rotations in Sales and Marketing, including Customer Service, Technical Sales, Marketing Communications, Product Management and Segment Marketing.
  • Upon “graduating” from the program, the LEAD Associate will assume a full-time role in Sales or Marketing, e.g. a Product Manager, a Business Development Manager, a Technical Sales Representative, a Customer Service leader or a Field Sales Representative.


While in the program, some typical responsibilities will include:

  • Accompany Avery Dennison Field Sales Representatives on customer visits.
  • Man the phones and take orders from customers.
  • Learn about our products and help customers identify which product is best for their particular need.
  • Update various sales support tools as needed, such as the Digital Asset Library, salesforce (CRM) tool and Custom Print Shop application.
  • Support our end user engagement marketing strategy by providing a myriad of project support and project management activities.
  • Participate in the translation of insights from customers and end users into innovative solutions.
  • Ongoing research via the internet into markets, applications, customers and marketing communication trends and resources.
  • Assist in the development and execution of sales support materials such as folders, brochures, swatchbooks.
  • Assist in all facets of trade show and event planning.
  • Manage the traffic from external campaigns and follow-up with customers.
  • Provide research and copywriting support for product and service press releases.
  • Support social media and web content creation and maintenance.
  • Write articles about commercial successes to be shared across the company intranet.

Essential skills and requirements:

  1. Full-time Bachelor's degree and above.
  2. CGPA of 3.0 and higher.
  3. Strong command of written and spoken English.
  4. Strong adaptability and positive learning attitude.
  5. Available to move across the country for the rotations.
  6. Able to join the program in April or July.
