Photography and Social Media Aide

Salary: $400 per week, plus lodging and meals.  Camp t-shirts provided. Must live at camp when camp is in session from May 28-July 19, 2024. Job Objective:  Document the summer camp experience through photography, video, website, and social media while adhering to Salvation Army policies concerning the use of social media, and child protection requirements.

• Artistic Ability: Ability to compose a shot, understand framing, color and light to create a visually pleasing photograph or video. Must have a good sense of timing and visual awareness. Practical and Creative. Must be patient and have strong concentration.
• Ability to interact with campers and staff independently. Strong communication. Strong interpersonal skill to speak clearly and in a friendly way to get what they want out of the photograph or video.
• Edit photos and video by retouching photos, adding details, or other digital additions using a computer or app.
• Strong knowledge of social media and the ability to be creative in posts.  Must be able to document the camp experience through posts both on social media and the camp website.
• Keep a database of all the pictures and video taken during the summer. 
• Adhere to Salvation Army policies regarding the use of social media and child protection requirements.
• Be aware of and follow the system to identify children without photo permission and be sure they are not photographed. 
• Assist Candy Shop Manager with the design and production of camp buttons which are sold in the candy store. Assist Candy Shop Manager by working during free times when needed.
• Assist Youth Department with program activities when needed, including evening programs.
• Be a positive influence on campers, leading by example.
• Be aware of and follow all Three Trails Camp policies and procedures.
• Attend all staff and camp meetings.
• Carry out assignments given for camp registration.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education: Knowledge of photography and videography

Experience: 

• Strong social media skills and knowledge
• Marketing and sales experience preferred.
