Congressman Tony Gonzales Campaign Internship

Congressman Tony Gonzales is currently seeking several interns to help with his Re-Election Campaign.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to assist a congressional campaign?

Do you have a drive to learn, be active, and get more involved in politics?

Let us know as we are seeking eager students who would love to help!

 

Duties/Responsibilities: Complete the required ten weekly hours performing assigned work. Gathering data by speaking with voters/constituents over the phone and in person utilizing our application, monthly Zoom or email with political information, attending zooms, political events, or attending Congressman’s Fundraising Events.

 

Skills acquired: Public Speaking, problem-solving, conflict resolution, collaboration with co-interns, active listening, understanding diverse people’s concerns and aspirations, persuasive communication, and networking adaptability.

 

Training/Supervision: Supervision is under the Internship Program Director and all training will be under the direction of the Field Director.

 

What you will gain from this internship: Knowledge of congressional campaign inner workings, learning how to canvass constituents, training with seasoned campaign staffers, and meeting elected officials from state to federal level. This internship program does not provide any monetary compensation. Opportunity for a possible paid Internship Position. However, you may acquire a Recommendation Letter from Congressman Tony, and also a Community Service Hour Document as long as you fulfill your committed weekly hours.

 

This position complies with the Fair Labor Standard Act. We also will comply with current local, state, federal, and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 at the time of the internship.
