Environmental Protection Specialist (Grants Project Officer) - R5

This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
-Assist senior staff in implementing routine and well-established aspects of stakeholder/EPA partnerships for environmental protection programs.
-Communicate established policy and procedural guidelines to state, local, and tribal agencies for the grants and agreements program.
-Assist senior staff in the review of grants, cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements activities
-Assemble and maintain case files for Performance Partnership Agreements (PPAs) and Performance Partnership Grants (PPGs).

NOTE: Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.
You will spend more than 50% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
