Bachelor level Clinician

QUALIFICATIONS: The LHC School-based Bachelor level Clinician (SBLC) must possess a bachelor degree or higher from an Accredited University/College in one of the related behavioral health fields (social work, community counseling, marriage and family counseling, psychology, etc.).  The SBLC be in good standing with Department of Professional Regulations.  The SBLC must have a minimum of three years of service experience with children/families with two of those years providing direct clinical services.  The SBLC has experience conducting family, and group counseling, be eligible to work with children within public school and community-based settings as evidenced by a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, literacy in Microsoft Office applications, and experience using electronic clinical files. The SBLC cannot have any pending or current professional, ethical or criminal activity which would limit or prevent the applicant from carrying out expected duties. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the LHC Clinical Manager, the primary role of the SBLC is act as a mental health provider in an integrative school-based wellness setting. Through the use of advanced clinical skills, effective written and verbal communication, advanced organizational skills, and effective leadership skills, the SBLC provides direct clinical services, clinical consultation, and care coordination at a LHC site.  The SBLC may co-facilitate and participate in interagency collaboration and support for the SBW teams related to clinical and social wellness service delivery under clinical and administrative oversite.  The SBLC engages in professional development and supports the professional development of clinical and clinical support staff.  The SBLC adheres to Federal, State, and Local Codes, Regulations, and Ethical Standards & Guidelines.  LHC SBLC uses evidenced-based and evidenced informed practices to promote appropriate clinical direction, case conceptualization, and professional behavior to promote optimum opportunities for health and social functioning for clients and their families within the Community and School-based settings.  SBLC reports directly to Site Administrator (Primary) and Clinical Manager (Senior Administrator).   

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Provide case and clinical oversite and management for mental health cases at a LHC SBW site(s). 

Provide direct clinical services for eligible and appropriate clients as designated by service plans. 

Participate in LHC all mandatory meetings, trainings, professional development workshops, and professional supervision.  

Adhere to all values, policies, procedures, and guidelines defined, outlined, and implied in the LHC Policies.   

Facilitate coordination of clinical and social service. 

Maintain and update resource list for client system referrals. 

Complete or facilitate the completion of all clinically related documents/deliverables (and deliverable timelines) related to electronic and other clinical records.   

Conduct chart reviews.  

Support the consultation, development, analysis, and maintenance of clinical records based on Best Practices in health and social service delivery.    

Facilitate and/or provide clinical education and support for client system(s), school system(s), and LHC staff.  

Maintain LHC clinical and professional files and database(s).  

Clinical consultant for all program(s) and processes implemented at the site level related to child and family engagement and services.      

Provide emergency clinical intervention, follow up, care coordination and clinical oversite, as clinically appropriate, for LHC SBW clients and students in schools where LHC SBW operates.   

Maintain professional interactions with LHC partners and other professional contacts based on LHC values, Professional Codes of Ethic(s), and host site guidelines during work hours and/or while conducting organizational related business.  

Uphold professional and ethical standards of conduct based on policies of LHC, the Colonial School District, Federal, State, and Local Regulations, Professional Codes of Ethics Codes, and other professional guidelines. 

Other duties as assigned.
