As an Operational Support Technician, you will provide program analysis and administrative support to operational coordination. Working in one of our 30 field offices across the country, you will get deep exposure to the inner workings of an FBI squad and form deep connections along the way.
As an Operational Support Technician, your duties could include:
- Perform investigative and administrative support functions
- Transcribe information from external sources into specific formats
- Create, maintain, and dispose of records and files in accordance with record management procedures
- Serve as a liaison with internal staff at all levels to disseminate information

Location: As part of the application, candidates are asked to select THREE location preferences. Assignments are based on the needs of the FBI. Candidates may be sourced up to three times based on their selected location preferences. Resident agencies within these Field Offices may be included for placement.

Salary: GS-7 $40,082.00-$52,106.00
Salary shown is the BASE SALARY for the grade level. Appropriate locality pay will be applied according to the location of the official duty station.
Work Hours: Varies by Division, shift work maybe required
Full Performance level: GS- 8
Number of Positions Available: Multiple
Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Key Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have graduated May 2022 to June 2024 (veterans May of 2018 to June 2024)
- Must have a graduating GPA of no less than 2.95 on a 4.0 scale
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Some travel may be required
- Must not be a current, permanent FBI employee
- ALL applicants must verify completion of the basic education requirement by submitting a copy of college transcripts by the closing date of the vacancy announcement
