Psychology Student (Buddi For Psych)

We are Buddi, an app made by college students designed to better mental health on campuses everywhere. We are a college student-based start-up making a positive change in the lives of our peers.

 

*Before continuing, please note this is a volunteer position AND remote*

 

Background

Buddi is building a student team to promote active listening and support in the Buddi app. This is a great opportunity for you to "lend an ear" to your students and practice comforting those who are stressed.

 

Responsibilities

· Interact with Buddi users on the Find a Buddi page.

· Weekly conversations and reflections

· Learn active listening and crisis counseling

· Engage with guest speakers and mental health field experts.

· Comfort distressed students in times of need.

· Moderate the app for misconduct

· Attend weekly team meetings (no more than 2!)

Time Commitment is 8-10 hrs a week

 

Who are we looking for? An active college student with...

· An active full/part time undergraduate or graduate college student majoring and/or minoring in Psychology.

· A passion to help others.

· A positive and proactive mentality.

· An ability to work independently and has attention to detail.

· The skills to use Google Suite application (Sheets, Docs, etc.)

· The mindset to work hard and have a lot of fun!
