Job Summary:
The Product Development and Packaging Department is looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop component risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers. Component Engineers will identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.
- This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Active electronic circuit design support experience.
- Experience with Parts Standardization application within the Design process
- Experience with the development of associated component data / drawings and the judgment /determination of part applications to meet program/project objectives and requirements.
- Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications.
- Experience with Bill of Material (BOM) development and management for developmental and production programs
- Working knowledge of Parts Obsolescence Management methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
- Coursework in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
- Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application.
- Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles

- Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
