General Dentists Needed

As a Dentist at Northwest Health Services, you will be responsible for performing general dentistry services by:

  • Diagnosing and treating patient oral concerns
  • Examining patients to determine any condition(s) affecting the patient
  • Utilizing dental instruments and diagnostic procedures in patient treatment
  • Performing dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, etc. using available instruments, appliances, products, medications, and technologies
  • Understand preventative treatment planning vs reactive treatment planning and which is most applicable to each patient
  • Providing patients preventative services and OHI
  • Leading and supervising dental office staff, including dental hygienists, dental assistants, and/or EFDAs
  • Assisting in development of dental policies and procedures to integrate within multi-disciplinary family health service
  • Ensuring all charts have necessary documentation and all clinical notes are thorough, factual, and contain every instance of patient contact
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and direction to dental support staff to ensure continuity and quality of services and care
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and processes
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with local dentists and care facilities to ensure continuity of care for patients in need

Requirements

  • Valid license to practice dentistry by Missouri Dental Board
  • DEA license
  • BNDD license
  • Valid Driver’s License with insurance
  • Clean and neat appearance
  • Demonstrate tact, patience, good communication skills, and confidentiality in dealing with patients, visitors, and NHS team
  • Computer skills
  • Cognitive skills necessary to read and interpret a variety of instructions in written and oral form
