Position Title: Youth tennis instructor
Hourly Wage: $20/hr.

General Purpose
National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) of Indianapolis is a non-profit organization that offers affordable tennis instruction to youth aged 5-18 with a goal of using tennis to stress the importance of a good education, healthy lifestyle, and character development.

The tennis instructor is a unique opportunity to lead a weekly tennis program at a local club, school, organization or park.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
100% Design and lead youth ages 5 to 18 in various tennis drills and games.
Qualification


Required Qualifications
• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Must be punctual, reliable and organized.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of successful tennis instruction techniques.
• Ability to lead on court.
• Enjoy working with kids.
Preferred Qualifications
• High School and/or college tennis experience.
• PTR and/or USPTA certification.
• Certified in first aid and CPR.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Gained in this Role:
Students will gain valuable leadership skills by leading youth in tennis drills, techniques, and games.


Students will gain the ability to collaborate more effectively with others by working with another instructor to plan a cohesive tennis plan.
