Marketing & Communications Support

This position would be ideal for a student interested in pursuing a career in community outreach/development, communication, business, non-profit, public health, fundraising/development, event coordination planning and/or marketing, while making a difference in the lives of people affected by blood cancers. LLS is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures, and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

Internship Dates: November 1, 2023 through June 1, 2024

*Exact start and end dates are flexible upon offer and acceptance

Location: Virtual/remote

Compensation: Unpaid internship - may be eligible for college credit, consult with your academic counselor

Hours: 15-25 hours/week

 

Responsibilities:

  • Data management in Microsoft Office, CRM Software, and shared online cloud server
  • Social media design and editing for various digital platforms
  • Market research and communication with local businesses/vendors to facilitate involvement with LLS
  • Coordinating logistical aspects of various events (i.e. preparation of supplies, equipment, and materials)
  • Attending virtual networking opportunities to assist with “Visionaries of the Year” campaign growth
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of social media design/content
  • Basic understanding of Canva (not required but a plus)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Confidentiality with any patient/donor/financial/volunteer information
  • Ability to complete assignments within a “work from home” atmosphere
