Position Summary:
Excellent opportunity to gain exposure to Accounting and Finance by performing a variety of financial duties including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, month end close, and ad hoc analysis and financial reporting.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month end close process, preparing journal entries related to inventory, sales, cost of sales and operating adjustments, reconciliations and month end financial statements.
- Provide inventory and transactional analysis, including scrap, production variance and inventory valuation variance.
- Provide support to Finance leadership for reports and analysis in support of Division, Group and Corporate reviews, audits, and ad hoc requirements.
- Active participant in the development, implementation and support of Lean in Manufacturing and Finance
- Gain understanding of SOX and internal controls and adhere to those processes.
- Miscellaneous projects to support the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Be enrolled in an accounting degree program and able to apply principles of accounting to analyze diverse and complex financial information.
- Candidate shall have completed sophomore year with a overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Possess analytical and technical accounting skills required to understand, analyze, research, and recommend opportunities for improvements.
- Be able to manage multiple projects.
- Have good organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, skills.
- Have experience with Excel and pivot tables.
