Our program takes place from June – August lasting for 10-12 weeks
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Applicants will be considered for internships with various engineering departments across the organization. In the past, our engineering interns have joined teams such as:
OPERATIONS ENGINEERING AND DATA ANALYTICS: Provides first line technical and analytical support to power plants in operation.
RENEWABLE ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Oversees the technical design, evaluation and construction of commercial and utility-scale wind, solar, thermal, and storage projects.
OPERATIONS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: You will focus on high-level projects affecting the Transmission, Substation and Collection systems – ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV. A primary focus of the role is troubleshooting high voltage electrical faults, as well as developing programs and maintenance practices to prevent unnecessary site downtime.
RENEWABLE PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: Oversees the technical design, evaluation and construction of commercial and utility-scale wind, solar, thermal, and storage projects.
TRANSMISSION AND COMMERCIAL ANALYTICS: Manages all interconnection and transmission aspects of generation projects. Assesses and communicates information about the energy markets using quantitative models, independent market studies, market risk analysis and forecasts.
OFFSHORE PROJECT ENGINEERING: You will assist with overseeing the technical design, evaluation and construction of offshore wind projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025.
Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
Comfortable working in an amorphous environment.
