Senior Financial Analyst

TRG is a nonprofit-owned, people-run, full-service advertising and marketing agency based in Dallas, Texas. Are you a roll-up-your-sleeves individual who loves to apply your experience to new situations? If so, our new senior financial analyst position is a good fit for you. This position will ensure that financial budgets and forecasts are completed in a timely manner. This role will work with the CFO, controller, and discipline heads to continually evaluate revenue and expenses.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare the monthly financial package with performance to plan, forecasts, and prior-year comparisons. Provide insights on what is happening within the business.
  • Prepare annual budgets aligned with strategic plans, working with the business to ensure full bottom-up details.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, including sales pipeline. Work with the business to understand changes in the forecasts.
  • Manage all costs (especially headcount and vendor spending) to ensure that unplanned costs are identified and thoroughly reviewed.
  • Identify synergies or cost-reduction opportunities with changes in the market or organization.
  • Identify, create, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Perform financial modeling to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Provide cash flow analysis, forecasting, and monitoring.
  • Proactively recommend continuous improvements in reporting, processes, and tools.
  • Assist with the consolidation of subsidiary results and forecasts.
  • Ad hoc projects upon request.

What You’re Good At

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and corporate forecasting tools.
  • Building and managing complex financial models.
  • Strong system acumen to navigate systems and extract data.
  • Able to work with large and disparate data sets from multiple sources and systems.
  • Able to act and operate independently with a skillset to access needs and ask questions, if needed.
  • Collaboration with multiple departments.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work independently while meeting deliverable deadlines under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team and management.

What Else You May Have in Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Five-plus years of accounting/finance experience required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles – especially revenue recognition, controls, and processes.
  • Experience with system implementations.
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
