Job Description: Tractor Supply Co. is seeking an enthusiastic HR Summer Intern to join our Human Resources team for a 12-week paid internship in the Nashville/Brentwood, TN area. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations and contribute to the success of our HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Participate in onboarding activities for new hires.
- Employee Relations: Support HR professionals in handling employee inquiries, conducting investigations, and addressing workplace issues.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing and coordinating training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
- Benefits Administration: Help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits-related tasks.
- HRIS Support: Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) to update employee records, generate reports, and assist with data analysis.
- Policy and Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are adhered to and assist in compliance efforts.
- Employee Engagement: Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and events.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and assist in generating HR reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Enthusiasm for HR and a desire to learn about HR best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
