Technical Software Driven Experience Intern - Summer 2024

Interns will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background, skill set and interests. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department and allow the intern to provide valuable contributions. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and exclusive intern networking events.  Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited back for a return internship the following summer or may be considered for full-time positions.

Internship Format 

 

The format for this internship will be remote, meaning the intern will work virtually for the duration of their internship.  Relocation and housing will not be provided.  In some cases, business travel may be required. Remote work must be completed at a location based in the United States.

As a Summer intern, you will work in one of the following areas based on interest, skills, background and project needs:

  • In-Vehicle, Cloud, & Mobile Software Development
  • Connectivity & Connected Services
  • Vehicle & Operational Data Analytics
  • Customer Experience Operations
  • Autonomous Driving Development
  • Electrical Electronics Hardware and On-going Systems Engineering

Remote Michigan 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Informatics, Math/Statistics, Physics, Econometrics, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
  • Various technical proficiencies with a passion to learn new things
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the internship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Junior at an accredited university by the Summer of 2024
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • Knowledge of or interest in automotive industry and digital trends
  • Knowledge of or experience in agile working methods
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Working experience solving complex problems
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Display of strong leadership characteristics
