Spring 2024 Purchasing-Engineering Co-op
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
We are seeking Co-Ops to work in our North American Research & Development Headquarters in the Purchasing Supplier Development Division. The Co-Op position will be located in Saline, MI (near Ann Arbor, MI).
As an Engineering Co-Op, you are given between 2-4 projects to manage and complete over your Co-Op term. A mentor is assigned to work closely with you, providing guidance over your projects and assisting you in achieving your personal and professional goals for the term.
PSD Engineering supports component part design, mfg. process planning, and supply chain improvement between Toyota and our Supplier Partners. We use Engineering and Process knowledge to coordinate between multiple stakeholders (design, supplier, Toyota plant, etc.) to work towards mass production preparation by studying manufacturability and implement changes to improve design or mfg. process.
During your time at Toyota, you will be working in a team environment and on projects that provide value to the organization and that provide you with a true insight into the role of a Toyota Engineer. Co-Ops will work on a variety of assignments/projects related to Supplier Readiness, Product Development & Advanced Research.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited bachelor’s or above degree program studying engineering in one of the following disciplines or related field: ME, EE, CS, CE & Chemical
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Have lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Seeking sophomores and above with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher
- Must demonstrate a genuine interest in and willingness to work in the automotive / mobility industry post-graduation
- Must have reliable transportation
