Member Duties : Environmental Justice Corps seeks to engage Buffalo residents in AmeriCorps service to reduce ecological stresses that create barriers to public health, particularly among individuals living in underserved communities and experiencing poverty. To achieve these goals, The Service Collaborative will work with its partners to engage members in a variety of conservation initiatives. Through educational workshops, community events, and collaborations with local organizations, AmeriCorps members will foster a sense of responsibility for the environment among the public. The program will provide members with opportunities to develop their skills in environmental stewardship, leadership, project management, and partnership cultivation. Ultimately, EJC will create lasting positive changes in Buffalo's environment and encourage a culture of sustainability.
