Summer 2024 Internship - Applications Engineering Intern

This is a summer internship for a college student. The role will last approximately 12 weeks over the summer at our Blauvelt, NY facility.

As a member of the Systems Engineering Team, the Applications Engineering Intern create programs to automate reporting and notifications for the Systems Engineering shared Outlook inboxes and periodic customer support surveys.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Creates macro based programs in excel and outlook
  • Works with SE team to ensure that notification need are met
  • Models Watts business goals for quality and customer focus by successfully fulfilling the role of a functional team member
  • Models Watts business philosophy by demonstrating respect for coworkers on a daily basis.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Working toward a BA/BS degree in Engineering; Electrical, Computer Sciance and similar preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Office environment with occasional shop floor working environment.  Noise level is minimal. Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the shop floor.
