What You’ll Do:
Lenovo is seeking an Engineering Intern to help manage our ThinkEdge pool of demo and Proof of Concept (PoC) systems for customers and partners. The Lab Engineering Intern will collaborate with the ThinkEdge Development and WW sales teams. They will prepare and manage systems for customers and partners. They will also provide logistics support, inventory management and Hardware/Software Engineering for all Lab assets.
Candidates must be local as the team would like the intern on-site at our Morrisville, NC Headquarters. This is for an immediate internship and would like as many hours as possible.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain Lab inventory
- Order additional systems and components as needed
- Provide Logistics support for Lab Engineers
- Configure ThinkEdge Systems for customer PoCs/Deemos
- Hardware & Software configuration
- Track and maintain ThinkEdge System inventory
- Attend customer events & conferences to demo systems
- Support customer issues related to PoC systems
- Communicate status of customer engagements, orders and other pertinent data to management
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and PowerBI
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
- Cloud experience (Azure/AWS)
- VMware experience is a plus
- Proven organizational skills, including time management.
- Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
