Full-time Research Technician/Assistant

The Matsuoka lab (https://matsuoka-lab-lerner.org/) at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Research Technician/Assistant to join our team. We study the genetic mechanisms of brain development, with a central focus on understanding its coordinated morphogenesis with the vascular system and the establishment of brain barriers. We employ the zebrafish animal model and human cell lines, and combine modern molecular biology approaches with high-resolution imaging to address this scientific theme. Our research goal is to translate acquired developmental biology knowledge into developing strategies that promote brain tissue repair in neurological disorders. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of biological sciences, who can spend at least a few years in assisting with bench and administrative work in the lab. The successful applicant will get involved in multiple research projects ongoing in the lab under the PI’s supervision.
