2024 Summer Internship Program

DRC has been providing the Property and Casualty insurance industry with cloud-based software solutions that supports personal, commercial, and specialty insurance.

Working with carriers ranging in size from startups to Fortune 100 companies, DRC has developed a breadth and depth of expertise in both technology and insurance processes, affording clients the best in technologies, services and solutions.

Interns will be grouped into a cohort of students focused in different disciplines. The interns will perform the marketing and software development activities to manage, design, build, test, and deploy software features. The projects will directly contribute to DRC’s product functionality and your work is actually utilized!

General Requirements:

- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a major aligned to technology such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Marketing

- Authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship in the future

- Enrolled as a student in good standing, preferably Junior or Senior

Marketing:

-Analyzing industry trends and competition

-Proficiency with research tools and methods

-Basic knowledge of design tools

Software Engineers:

-Proficiency with software development tools, design, & coding

-Exposure to C# and .NET

DevSecOps:

-Evaluating security practices and suggesting enhancements

-Integration of improved practices into SDLC

Qualifications:

-One-year work experience (work, school or student activities, volunteer, extracurricular, etc.)

-Understanding of SDLC (design, testing, development, and deployment)

-Understanding of marketing concepts, as well as research and analytical skills

-Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented

-Sharp verbal and written skills

-Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and completeness

-Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision

 

Applications will be accepted from September 22 to December 31, 2023 with interviews to follow in mid-January 2024.
