Internship – People Analytics, Human Resources (Spring 2024)

Spring 2024 Semester:

JOB SUMMARY: Intern will assist the Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) People Analytics team by learning and using skills around report design, creation, and testing. The People Analytics intern will have opportunities to network with Team Members from the NBCUniversal People Insights, UDX People Analytics, and UDX HRIS teams with other UDX Human Resources Partners. 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with troubleshooting, testing, and validating of reports and their data. 
  • Reviews inventory of reports that are needed to be setup in business warehouse system. 
  • Configures reports in business warehouse system by defining selection criteria, choosing display fields, and scheduling report occurrences as identified in reports inventory.
  • Participates in UDX People Analytics team meetings and assists with NBCUniversal/UDX HRmonize Project. 
  • Collaborates with analysts form UDX HRIS team for ad-hoc data requests from clients. 
  • Shadows UDX People Analytics team on data analytics, visualizations, and story-telling/presentations for UDX Executive Leadership. 
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION: 

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred. 
  • An official transcript may be required upon request. 
  • Preferred majors include: Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, Information Services, Data Sciences. 

EXPERIENCE: Prior internship or Human Resources experience related to position is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Familiarity with data model concepts (such as queries and databases) preferred. 
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2024.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
