Paid Search and Sponsored Products Intern

As a Paid Search & Sponsored Products Intern, you provide support across the entire Search team (Paid Search & Sponsored Products). The Paid Search & Sponsored Products team is responsible for managing onsite and offsite search efforts for Best Buy and vendor partners. We assist in omni-channel strategic planning, development, and execution as well as aspects of budget management for Best Buy domestic business units and product lines. The team works in a highly collaborative, cross-functional and fast-paced environment to ensure campaigns are aligned with enterprise drive times and business objectives. In addition, you’ll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions.

This internship runs from June to August 2024. It’s a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You’ll be asked to come into the office 2-3 days per week. This internship has the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided.

What you’ll do

  • Assist with Search Marketing tasks within Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Criteo UI 
  • Create ad hoc reports and analysis for Search Marketing performance
  • Complete projects related to Search Marketing (Paid Search and Sponsored Products) 
  • Participate in analytical testing to determine tactics that result in lower funnel media performance improvements

 

Basic qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college/university, with an expected graduation date between fall 2024 and spring 2025 
  • Must be able to work in the Richfield, MN corporate office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday   
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. 
  • Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/3/2024- 8/9/2024
  • Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong desire to explore a career in digital marketing with an interest in hands-on paid search and sponsored products experience 
  • Intermediate skill level with Excel and Microsoft Office products 
  • Interest in data analytics, statistics, finance, or accounting 
  • Self-starter, curious and eager to learn 
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Data & detail focused 
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective collaborator/communicator 
  • Completed courses or comparable experience in: Marketing and/or Advertising
