IT Systems Engineer
Wake County Information Services (IS) seeks an experienced IT Systems Engineer for the IS Human Services Team. This position will report directly to the Department Systems Manager for the Wake County Health and Human Services Division of Social Services. This is a remote position with the occasional need to be onsite for meetings or to assist with support issues.
Essential Functions:
As the technical lead, partner with Wake County Health and Human Services business units and Information Services teams for the planning, technical analysis, system configuration, operational upgrades, defect resolution, training and ongoing maintenance and support of various platforms and customer portals.
- Develop and maintain OnBase configurations and workflows
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Generate reports as required for projects and stakeholders
- Ensure all supported applications go through proper software life cycle management
- Collaborate with Health and Human Services to configure and design solutions to meet federal, state and county requirements and policies
- Provide technical project management to translate business requirements into specific technical solutions
- Modify existing and/or create new documentation for ongoing application support
For positions with a remote work option, all Wake County Government remote workers must reside in one of the following states or districts: North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Virginia. #LI-Remote
Position is subject to 24-hour on call requirements.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
- Four years of experience in IT systems design and administration
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
- OnBase System Administration and or OnBase Workflow Certification
- Experience developing applications and workflows using M365 and configuring systems for each client's unique requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing system configuration, support and maintenance services inclusive of problem management tasks for vendor hosted systems
- Familiar with change management processes to manage system configurations across business units
- Salesforce administration experience
- MuleSoft experience related to integration design, API Specification, development and product delivery
- Java Script experience

- Ability to deliver high level of customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
