Pay Range/Scale:                            $56,971.20 - $95,800.80 (Grade 79)

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must be currently in an Occupational Therapist position with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services or currently eligible for hire from the Occupational Therapist Personnel register. 

Essential Functions of Position: 

The position works in assigned clinics; identifies feeding, ADL, splinting, adaptive equipment, augmentative communication, therapy functional seating/positioning/mobility, and DME needs and coordinates with appropriate personnel so that needs are met. Clinic coordinator duties will also be assigned to this person. Documents of all evaluations, assessments, and other client interactions in a timely manner so that follow-up by other personnel is not delayed. Provides therapy and evaluation to clients through clinic visits, home visits, classroom visits, consultation services and technical assistance. Works closely with vendors regarding equipment, ensuring documentation is submitted in a suitable timeframe, so that equipment is obtained, delivered, and fit within a specified timeline. Requires collaboration with community partners and work within a multidisciplinary team. The position will cover all 12 counties included in the Tuscaloosa/Selma District. Requires travel and assistance in other areas on occasion.
