WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

The Converse Data & Analytics Engineering team develops critical data pipelines for self-service consumption across the enterprise, ranging from product creation, planning, operations, finance, digital and retail. 

As we focus on shifting Converse along the analytics maturity curve, The ideal intern candidate is a natural born leader with a demonstrated interest of developing complex data solutions and working on end-to-end solution design to automate and modernize the way in which our business teams utilize our data. You are a passionate, data evangelist who loves finding relationships between disparate data sets and clarity in a muddied data environment and are continually learning as well as finding opportunities to share knowledge with others. 

The person we’re searching for gets energized and excited by the challenge of building things from the ground up, loves to think out of box and bring to bear the latest technologies in statistical models to achieve organizational goals. 

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE: 

Our goal for the Global Technology Internship is to provide an incredible and unique experience, showing what it is like to be at Nike full-time. As a Self-Service Data Engineer, you will apply engineering expertise to improve existing data & analytics processes and understand and be able to leverage core data management concepts to drive fast and accurate business decisions. You will collaborate in multi-functional teams to support other groups who will also be working on analytics and other data engineering related work. 

Intern Project Examples Include: 

Keep Nike on the offensive by integrating Machine Learning within our technologies to identify and resolve incidents faster and more efficiently. 

Scale Nike’s innovation teams and our sustainability goal of moving to zero waste through use of computer vision, code, agile methodologies, and robotics. 

Ensuring people with disabilities have equitable access to Nike’s Technology using Artificial Intelligence.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

Qualifications: 

Enrolled in an undergraduate program in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related technical subject area with an expected graduation date of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 

0-2 years’ work experience 

Resume submission required. 

Technical Skills: 

Knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau 

Knowledge of AI/ML techniques such as neutral networks, tree ensembles, regressions, etc. 

Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms 

Deep understanding of solution and technical design 

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

Ability to quickly pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks
