Entrepreneur in Residence Program Intern
This role supports Discovery to Impact’s Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR) at UT Austin. Our interns work closely with the seasoned executives and entrepreneurs of the EIR program to complete tasks as assigned to accelerate the maturity of UT Startups. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Building and designing pitch decks
- Market research and analysis
- Benchmarking peer companies to define the regulatory pathway (research and gathering supporting documents)
- DIY website creation
- Assist with Go-to-market and timeline planning
- Assist in developing Financial Models
- Other tasks as assigned
Weekly hours: 10 hours minimum per week @ $15+ / hour depending on experience and education
Duration: ‘23-‘24 Academic Year, with possibility for renewal and seasonal work
Location: Hybrid: remote + some in-person work at Flawn Academic Center and Texas Innovation Center

- Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written documents and presentations/decks
- Distill complex technical reports clearly and effectively for a non-technical audience
- Demonstrate personal accountability, ability to learn from mistakes, and effective work habits, e.g. punctuality, working productively with others, and time workload management

Education:
- Current graduate student, MBA or MSTC candidate at UT Austin
- Undergraduate in Business, Communications, and/or Life Sciences
Professional Experience:
- Experience supporting executives and entrepreneurs
- Translating research and highly technical language into digestible marketing assets
- Market research
