Semester Into Summer Internship - Human Resources; Strategic Diversity Sourcing

Job Summary

PSEG is seeking an intern to work in the Human Resources Department within Strategic Diversity Sourcing team for the 2023 to 2024 School year. 

This position will be remote local, meaning that most of the day to work can be done remote, but will come into the office as needed for in person meetings and engagement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Candidates will be working alongside HR professionals on the Strategic Diversity Sourcing team 

Interns can expect to bring new ideas to the table and work on multiple projects including but not limited to programs that attract diverse talent to the workforce
 

Potential duties:

- Assist with career fair preparation and follow up; creating branded materials, securing participation, assist with candidate follow up to drive applicant flow

- Review job descriptions for the PSEG summer internship program to ensure accuracy and compliance

- Taking on new projects as opportunities arise

- Assist with communication for both strategic diversity sourcing and university relations
 

- Strong time management, organizational and communication skills

- Should be detail oriented and possess good relationship building skills

Job Specific Qualifications

Successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resource Management, Leadership/Organizational Development, Labor Relations, Psychology, or Business Administration. All candidates must have completed Sophomore year prior to the start of the summer internship program. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

Preferred Skills: 3.0 GPA

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions.  We are targeting: Currently enrolled/matriculating students and who are able to commute to the assigned work location as needed. Housing, stipends, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
