Online Learning Intern
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas in the School of Journalism at UT Austin is looking for an online learning intern for Fall 2023. The intern will assist with our online journalism courses organized and run through JournalismCourses.org. The intern will help copy edit transcripts of video classes so copy editing experience is required. Fluency (including written) in English and Spanish (and/or Portuguese) is preferred.
Through its 17-year-old distance learning program, the Knight Center offers free or low-cost training to journalists around the world.
The intern's primary contact will be Filipa Rodrigues, senior online learning coordinator of the Knight Center, who will check-in with the intern on a daily basis to lay out tasks for the day and week ahead, and review jobs well-done and areas that need improvement. Interns will also be invited to weekly online learning meetings, where they'll be encouraged to share ideas related to courses.
