Location: Fully Remote

The Professional Services Internship is fully remote and requires no travel. Your work location is the city/town/province/state you will be working from remotely. For our 12-week internship program, interns are allowed to work remotely from an alternative location for up to 2 weeks. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.

 

About the Role

This internship program is for students in the summer before their third (Junior) year of a 4 year degree program.

 

The CrowdStrike Professional Services - Explorer Internship is a dynamic program geared towards providing undergraduate interns with a wide range of experiences over a variety of different departments within the Professional Services Practice. Successful interns may be invited back for a second summer at CrowdStrike as a Professional Services - Pathfinders Intern. Successful completion of the following year’s Pathfinder internship program can lead to a full-time offer beginning after one’s graduation from university. Therefore, CrowdStrike is searching for forward-thinkers geared towards a future in cybersecurity.

 

The Explorer program provides interns the opportunity to rotate between areas in Professional Services. You will be able to work in teams including:

  • Incident Response (IR) - Our acclaimed IR team responds to some of the most high-profile and complex breaches. You will learn how CrowdStrike supports its customers with cyber attacks spanning both ransomware and nation state-sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actors.
  • Red Team - Our Red Team is among the best in the world, composed of a team of hackers who support our customers every day in identifying weaknesses in technology and security teams. Their job is to help our clients to prepare a real attack, by using the exact same tactics, techniques & procedures (TTPs) as some of the most sophisticated adversaries.
  • Strategic Advisory - Our Strategic Advisory team supports customers by teaching them how to respond to real cyber threats. Members of this team are technologists who not only understand the complexities of securing the modern workplace, but have the ability to communicate this to technical and non-technical audiences, including legal representation, public relations teams, and CEOs.
  • Endpoint Recovery Services (ERS) - Our ERS team provides a combination of CrowdStrike's industry leading technology platform (Falcon), threat intelligence and battle-hardened security experts to assist customers with the detection, analysis, and remediation of known security incidents and enable rapid recovery with zero business interruption. They hunt down and eliminate the bad guys while keeping our customers in business

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree and be interested in computer science, cybersecurity, technical buildout and other similar roles; however, you do not need to be majoring in these areas or have any formal training.
  • Graduating during or between December 2025-December 2026.
  • Interested in a career that involves frequent communication with internal colleagues and external customers on a daily basis.
  • Have an investigative mindset, a desire to find and stop evil, and keep up with the latest vulnerabilities and breaches.

 

What You Will Learn

  • Introduction to command-line interfaces (Windows, Linux, MacOS, or any combination of those)
  • Introduction to scripting languages (PowerShell, Python 3, etc.)
  • Introduction to forensic analysis methodology and artifacts
  • Introduction to strategies and tools to rapidly analyze large sets of logs (such as Splunk, ELK, etc.
