LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS - PART-TIME

MOBILE CRISIS UNIT 

HOURS: 5:30 PM – 1:30 AM   3 NIGHTS/WEEK

The Mobile Crisis Team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides street-level mental health intervention, engagement, and support services to people experiencing severe behavior crises.   We offer a broad range of services including assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and information and referrals to community-based mental health services. Our Mobile Crisis Team consist of behavioral health professionals including social workers and peer specialist who collaboratively provide short-term management and care.  

We are currently seeking Licensed Social Workers for immediate, P/T opportunities.

• As a Licensed Social Worker in our Mobile Crisis Unit, you will provide professional casework services to patients and family members with social and or personal problems related to their illness, hospitalization, and integration into the community. 
• Providing supportive therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy. 
• Monitoring, evaluating, and recording client progress with respect to treatment goals. 
• Providing psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental illness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be Licensed LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC required. (Open to limited permits) 
• Previous inpatient clinical experience in a hospital setting/CPEP, or in a mobile crisis unit, and or discharge planning is strongly preferred. 
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. 
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. PC Proficiency is required. 
• Must be open to street-level community intervention.
• Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays. 

SALARY:  $36.04/hr. - $48.74/hr.  DOE    Plus applicable shift differential
