Marketing Automation Director

Ministry Function:

The Marketing Automation Director role serves Convoy of Hope by leading a high-performing, data-driven marketing automation team. This role encompasses responsibility and oversight for strategically aligning multi-channel solutions with marketing goals and leads operational planning.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, build, and manage the Marketing Cloud product and team — with accountability for planning and strategy, campaign setup, audience segmentations, data-driven logic, development, deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
  2. Lead operational planning and execution for marketing projects.
  3. Provide planning and project leadership in marketing automation processes and campaign management including identifying project risks, presenting alternatives to alleviate or resolve issues, overseeing new data and data integrations with Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, managing Marketing Cloud releases, and implementing the most optimal solutions.
  4. Assist VP of Marketing to drive yearly and quarterly strategic plans and goals.
  5. Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new marketing technologies to advance Marketing team processes and performance.
  6. Establish a marketing automation roadmap for Convoy of Hope with a strategic omni-channel approach designed for scale — further streamlining, personalizing, and improving the donor experience.
  7. Build robust testing plans and protocols for the Marketing team to follow when launching a new campaign.
  8. Work to connect and drive IT, data, finance, and marketing alignment, with close collaboration to prioritize, execute, integrate, maintain, and measure marketing programs and campaigns.
  9. Define key marketing metrics and manage the process of building visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports and dashboards to determine overall performance.
  10. Reimagine and advance how the Marketing team plans and strategize for upcoming campaigns.
  11. Drive success and collaborate with departments on strategy for inbound marketing.
  12. Collaborate with the VP of Marketing, Communications team, and various Marketing team members in campaign and product creation.
  13. All other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required.
  2. 3+ year experience with Marketing Cloud required.
  3. 5+ years demonstrated experience in marketing required.
  4. Strong decision-making and analytical abilities.
  5. Strong detail orientation and communication skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize projects.
  7. Strong interpersonal communication skills in person and in writing.
  8. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. 
  9. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  10. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
