Investment Operations Analyst Intern - Summer 2024

Position Responsibilities 

  • Learn and understand the Investment process through:
  • Trade Support (Trade verification & communication, Cash Reporting, FX)
  • Derivatives Support (Variation Margins, Collateral, Settlements)
  • Holdings Support (Corporate Actions, Reconciliations)
  • Reporting (Positions and Exposures)
  • Investment Strategy Support (Product Changes and Strategy Changes)
  • Provide time sensitive communication to portfolio managers, team members, traders, brokers, custodians, and fund accountants

Position Requirements  

  • Currently working towards an undergraduate degree in finance or economics
  • Excellent academic track record (GPA 3.0+)
  • Customer focus and team orientation
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work full time during the summer
  • Ability to work in the United States for indefinite period without sponsorship

 Experience Gained from Internship  

  • Knowledge of settlement practices and procedures for all domestic and foreign securities: equities, fixed income and derivatives (swaps, options, and futures)
  • Knowledge of capital markets and industry practices
  • Ability to actively interface with a variety of internal business partners (e.g. portfolio management, trading staff and accounting)
  • Work experience in a time sensitive environment
  • Independent judgment
  • Bloomberg Terminal exposure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • General knowledge of accounting
