Quality Intern - Nationwide Travel
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Assists with implementing the site-specific Quality Program.
- Assists in tracking and monitoring inspection and testing activities and retrieves/tracks Quality metrics
- Assists in performing inspections and tests as defined within the Inspection and Testing Plan
- Applies Stop Work Authority on any operation or activity that appears to be out of compliance with the Inspection and Testing Plan, Contract Requirements, and/or project drawings, plans, and manufacture specifications; and empowers all project resources to act in the same manner.
- Assists in final walk down activities with Project Team and Owner/Developers.
- Assists in tracking punchlist corrective actions and provides updates to the Project Team
- Assists in managing nonconformances of materials, products, or processes
- Follows defined instructions and/or assists in the development of Inspection and Testing Instructions.
- Assists in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities such as Kaizen events if applicable.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Junior year of college. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related degree
- Willingness to travel and relocate to the community of project site assigned for the duration of the summer internship (12-weeks minimum)
- Able to pass an Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio)
- Effective communication (oral, written, presentation), motivation, and supervisory skills
- Ability to be analytical, organized, and have high level of attention to detail
- Listen to understand and seek clarification prior to making decisions.
- Gathers pertinent information skillfully to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand and utilize Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Techniques.
- Seeks ways to improve and promote quality within the project; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge – Possess a basic understanding of mechanical functions of equipment, of AC/DC principles, cable terminations, and inspection/testing equipment.
- Teamwork – Focused on teamwork and finding solutions in a collaborative manner.
