Distribution Center Engineering Corporate Intern Summer 24 – Lumberton, NJ

The Summer 2024 program will run June 3rd - August 9th, 2024.  Virtual onboarding activities will also take place May 29th -31st, 2024.

 

This is an in-person position at a CVS Distribution Center in: Lumberton, NJ. For this role, a one-time stipend may be provided to those that live more than 50 miles from the assigned work location.

 

The hourly rate is $23 per hour with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed.

You will gain valuable work experience and participate in:

-  Gain experience with CVS Health Operational Excellence

-  Drive an initiative that demonstrates decision-making, communication, engineering principles, and technical skills

-  Key responsibilities include analyzing data, problem solving, project managing and executing tasks, and collaborating with various internal partners

-  Assist with work streams on new processes, opportunities, and initiatives that delivery improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

-  Learn fundamentals around lean manufacturing and DC operations

 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation

Education

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree

- Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2024 and August 2025

- Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as related majors: Engineering
