New Graduate Nurse Weekend Event

ECU Health Nurse Residency Program is excited to be hosting New Graduate Nurse Weekend, a two-day event for nursing students and recent graduates. On Sept. 29, 2023, please join us for a networking event with our nurse leaders and on Sept. 30, 2023 interview for our New Graduate Nurse Residency Programs. We will be interviewing candidates who graduate Winter 2023 and Spring/Summer 2024 for ECU Health Medical Center, ECU Health Duplin, Outer Banks Health, and ECU Health Beaufort, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. 

Networking Event Details 

  • Friday, Sept. 29, 2023
  • 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Location: Williams-Clark Club Level at East Carolina University's Dowdy Ficklen Stadium (Greenville, NC)

Interview Day Event Details 

  • Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Williams-Clark Club Level at East Carolina University's Dowdy Ficklen Stadium and Harvey Banquet Hall at the Murphy Center (Greenville, NC)
  • A follow-up email will be sent to confirm interview times.

Opportunity Overview 

The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program provides an extensive orientation to the roles and responsibilities associated with professional practice. This process is a 12 month clinical program.

As a Nurse Resident, you will: 

  • Be a part of a cohort of other new graduate nurses
  • Work side by side with a dedicated clinical coach throughout your orientation
  • Participate in simulation laboratory experiences
  • Receive mentorship from a nurse educator
  • Attend cornerstone sessions designed to stimulate critical thinking skills
  • Participate in classroom activities that address key clinical topics
  • Participate in Nursing Councils and other professional groups within the organization
  • And, much more!

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required
  • North Carolina RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license must be active prior to start date
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required
  • 0 - 6 months experience is required
