Interior or Architectural Designer forReal Estate Developer -Intern or Junior

Ideal Candidate:

We are currently seeking an Architectural or Interior Junior Designer/Intern with a minimum of two years of school experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, architecture, and project management. Applicants should be highly organized, detail-oriented, have experience working on architectural projects and are flexible to work on a variety of tasks under the direction of the VP of Interior Designer. AutoCAD, Blubeam, and Adobe Suite experience is a must.

This position will perform a variety of project tasks, which may include the following:

1. Even though this position will require minimum drafting or primarily design, it requires a high attention to details and understanding of the drawings at its different stages. Understanding of scale is a must.
2. Maintaining project binders with all related contacts, schedules, specs, drawings, etc.

3. Be able to create mark ups in Bluebeam or PDF for the consultants under the VP supervision
4. Research and Source furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers and any relevant interior finishes, experience with interior finishes (tile, stone, wood, kitchen, and bath design) a major plus.
5. Work with vendors to obtain cost estimates for project budgeting.
6. Conduct client meetings and prepare meeting minutes for distribution and task lists.

This is a part-time position, requiring 12-15 hours per week. We are flexible and, of course, will work with your schedule, but we prefer a commitment of 2-3 days in the office.
