Senior UI/UX Designer

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing Design and Development Team. This individual will assist in designing, establishing standards, prototyping, and creating elegant user experiences within multiple collaborative environments. The ideal candidate has a profound passion for innovation and a natural talent for creating elegant and simple designs including being fluent in best practices and UI/UX trends, design forecasting, methods, and software. They are proactive in shaping their vision from its inception to full deployment with a focus on the end user. The right individual will thrive in a high-paced work environment, have strong organizational and project management skills, excel both independently and collaboratively in team settings and possess exceptional communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Design for a wide range of environments including websites, website applications, mobile applications, company branding
  • Create presentations, user flows, site maps, customer journey maps, taxonomies, wireframe, high-fidelity mock-ups, prototypes, and other necessary documentation to communicate the recommended user experience clients to internal development teams
  • Collaborate with other designers, marketing, and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept through implementation
  • Infuse simplicity and intuitiveness into complex design solutions
  • Conduct heuristic and competitive evaluations to identify design challenges
  • Embody exceptional graphic sense and style reflective of industry trends and best practices
  • Create and present, animate, or effectively communicate concepts, of both low and high fidelity
  • Oversee and mentor junior level UIUX designers through the design process

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in UIUX Design for both web and mobile apps, direct experience working with Software Engineering/Development teams, and UIUX focused portfolio examples
  • Demonstrated knowledge with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Advanced professional experience in rapid prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, creating design assets and workflows, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Exceptional visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

Desired:

  • HTML/CSS (or LESS or SASS), responsive
  • HTML email layout/implementation and native mobile design (iOS, Android)
  • Medical device design experience
