Civil/Site Engineering Intern

Overview

We are seeking highly-motivated interns to join our Civil/Site Discipline in our San Antonio, TX office during Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects
  • Read and review project drawings and plans
  • Confer with engineers about preparing plans
  • Use AutoCAD and MicroStation software under the charge of Engineers
  • Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design
  • Prepare reports and document project activities and data
  • Prepare analyses from collected data
  • Set up and help maintain project files and records
  • In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an interest in Civil/Site Development, or a related program
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess solid problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work in a high-paced environment
  • Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
