Summer 2024 Intern, Data Science (Information Services)
Your Opportunity as a Data Science, Information Services Intern
As an intern within our Data Science, Information Services department you will have an exciting opportunity to grow by gaining and applying knowledge through hands-on experience. You will achieve this by working directly with business partners on meaningful, advanced analytics projects and leveraging real-world data to generate value for the company.
Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 25% in office expectations
In this role you will:
Perform data modeling against real data sets to predict business outcomes
Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to complete technical deliverables
Develop professional skills in a business environment to perform hypothesis testing
What we are looking for:
A Junior, Senior, or Master’s program standing in school with requisite educational experience in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or relevant field
A GPA of 3.0 or higher
A well-rounded skill set including strong problem solving, teamwork, time management, communication, and eagerness to further grow a data science skill set
Some previous experience in (or at least knowledge of) modeling concepts, database technologies (SQL), and/or relevant programming languages (Python or R are a plus)
