The Internship Program - May 2024 Start Date
The Finance Development Program (FDP) Internship is a 10-12 week experience that gives you an opportunity to apply analytical and problem solving skills, strengthen business acumen, and grow as a finance professional. During the internship, you will own a project from start to finish with a goal to make a real business impact on Whirlpool Corporation’s operations.
Upon successful completion of the summer internship program, you may be considered for employment opportunities within the Full-Time Finance Development Program post-graduation.

Program locations
Work out of our corporate campus in Southwest Michigan at either our Global or North American Headquarters. Take advantage of pristine beaches, a thriving art scene, and lush countryside in our location along the coast of Lake Michigan. Learn more about our locations here.
Whirlpool provides complimentary housing at Lake Michigan College for interns who live 50 miles or more from Benton Harbor, MI.
Your day-to-day
Project assignments could be related to:
- Internal Audit
- Sales Finance
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Accounting
- Manufacturing
Minimum requirements
- Progress in Bachelor's or Master’s degree curriculum with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 and an anticipated completion date in May 2025
- Must have indefinite US work authorization. Applicants who require visa sponsorship or work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for this program
