2024 Summer Intern, Landscape Architect (Hybrid, Bachelors)
The Intern will gain experience working with landscape architects, engineers, and restoration ecologists on projects such as habitat restoration, environmental education and interpretation, and visual impact assessment in Washington, Oregon, and California. The Intern will assist with project tasks such as those listed below, bring the latest knowledge of project graphics software and techniques, and learn about the work done at ICF.
This is a full-time, 10-week internship that begins in early June 2024. The intern will work a hybrid schedule from our Sacramento, CA office. At this time we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting and grading design for native restoration projects and assist with producing construction documents using AutoCAD
- Produce project graphics for restoration projects, open space design, environmental education and interpretation, and visual assessments, such as cross sections, concept plans, and visual simulations using AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other graphics programs
- Assist with other project-related tasks such as writing mitigation plan sections and supporting project meetings
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or similar discipline with an anticipated graduation by May 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Comfortability with Illustrator, Photoshop or other graphics programming
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to document agendas, notes, and other meeting deliverables in a clear and accurate manner

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$39,970.00 - $67,949.00
