The Office of Marketing and Communications is looking to add a student to our team to help create visual content for Carthage’s social media and website. We are looking to fill both photography and video roles.

 

Here are some qualities we’re looking for:

Creativity

Do you have a need for creative expression? Then get paid for it! Have fun using that creativity to compose visually interesting photos/videos and edit together engaging videos. 

 

Problem Solving Skills

In digital media production, problems on sets/shoots will inevitably arise. Be able to use problem solving skills to come up with creative solutions to any problems that may appear.

 

Ability to Work Both Independently and as a Team

Tasks will range from creating small solo projects for social to supporting the team with long term projects. Be willing to collaborate with others, give and receive feedback, and carry out individual tasks when needed.

 

Willing to Cover Various Carthage Events

Love going to Carthage events? Then why not get paid to attend! Capturing both video and photos from Carthage events will be a crucial part to this role. This will require occasional night or weekend shifts.


Experience with DSLR Cameras and Video Editing Software

Technical skills are important when it comes to digital media creation. There will be projects where you will be on shoots or editing by yourself.  Those applying must have working knowledge of DSLR camera functions and editing software.
