Architecture Intern

Internship Overview:

Department Overview:   

The Store Development, Leasing and Facilities Support team is responsible for six major functional areas: 

Store Development  

Pre-Construction  

Equipment Purchasing  

Leasing and Asset Management 

Facility Maintenance 

SCP/Energy/Facility Services  

This group supports all Ahold Delhaize USA companies by ensuring that more than 2,000 local brand stores and support office campuses are in optimal operating condition and that each brand is positioned to realize energy efficiencies, helping them save for Connected Customers and enhance sustainability. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

Assist in tracking all architecture and engineering construction doucments through all phases of development 

Assist with the pre-planning due diligence walkthrough process for remodel, takeover, or expansion proejects and convey those notes to all team members 

Work closely with all project stakeholders to maintain alignment with project timelines 

 

Qualifications: 

Working towards a degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management or related field.  

Experience working in a collaborative group setting   

Experience using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills   

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and effectively   

Knowledge of MS Power BI (Preferred) 

 

Skills: 

Exposure to CAD (Preferred) 

Intermediate skill in Microsoft tools lie Excel, PowerPoint and Word
