Crisis Clinician- $30/hour plus Differentials- FT, PT or PD- New Bedford, Fall River or Plymouth

NEW BEDFORD, FALL RIVER or PLYMOUTH, MA – We are looking to onboard passionate and motivated Master’s level Clinicians for our Emergency Services Department located at our Church Street office, Fall River office or Plymouth, MA office. Emergency Services (ES) is an exciting and challenging program. These are great positions for recent Master’s level graduates looking to hone their skills or the seasoned veteran looking for a challenge. ES Clinicians are hourly employees with an hourly base rate, plus competitive shift differentials. There are great incentives for overtime and holiday pay! 

Employees are benefit eligible at 20+ hours per week

***$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS for full-time**

$30-$31.46/hour BASE RATE plus generous shift differentials & language differentials

SATURDAY-SUNDAY 1ST SHIFT + $2.50/HOUR
MONDAY-FRIDAY 2ND SHIFT + $1.50/HOUR
SATURDAY & SUNDAY 2ND SHIFT + $4.00/HOUR
SUNDAY-THURSDAY 3RD SHIFT + $5.00/HOUR
FRIDAY & SATURDAY 3RD SHIFT +7.50/HOUR

Incentives - $100 per each mobile case split: 2 Person Team - $35 for the Clinician - $70 if Clinician goes out alone

Available Schedules:

Emergency Services runs 24/7 365 days per year. Flexible schedules available. We offer full-time, part-time, and per-diem. Our shifts are a minimum of 5 hours, 8 hours or max of 10 hours. Let us know when you can work!

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology or related field
  • Must be licensed or license eligible (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LADC-1)
  • Experience with computers, specifically electronic health records systems
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience (intern or professional) working with children, adults and/or families within a clinical role
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Provide short term service that is mobile, on site, face to face therapeutic response to an individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis for the purpose of identifying, assessing, treating, and stabilizing the situation and reducing immediate risk of danger to the individual's or others consistent with the individuals risk management safety plan
  • Provide brief solution focused interventions and reassess current level of need with the adult waiting for higher level of care treatment
  • Post crisis evaluation and intervention throughout the follow up period when applicable
  • Work collaboratively with supportive and peer staff to provide resources/referrals, support, and psychoeducation to families
  • Attend community-based meetings in conjunction with the adult, their families, and providers to assist with advocacy and addressing safety concerns
  • Complete collateral contacts with the adult’s providers
  • Engage the client in safety planning
  • Able to provide clinical care and support to adult and their families to prevent hospitalization and stabilize adult in the community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Provide triage through the call center
  • Complete intake data form by telephone or in person either on site or at outreach locations
  • Confirm health care coverage
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health status exam for adult and utilizing an admissions/screening instrument which includes providing a diagnosis in accordance with the DSM IV and DSMV
  • Telephone screening and consultations
  • Understanding of different treatment modalities that can be applied to stabilize clients in their home and prevent hospitalization
  • Consult with program director/administrator on call and or consulting psychiatrist prior to disposition plan to include outpatient services, hospitalization, or hospital diversion
  • Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision, staff meetings, staff development, and training curriculum
