Healthcare Administration Intern
Summary:
Our psychiatric clinic is seeking a Fall Intern to work on projects related to healthcare compliance, revenue cycle, HR, finance, and accreditation. The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in multiple areas of healthcare administration and make meaningful contributions to our clinic's operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in pursuing a career in healthcare administration or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with compliance audits and investigations, and develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Analyze revenue cycle data and identify opportunities for process improvement and revenue optimization
- Conduct research and prepare presentations on HR topics, such as talent management, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion
- Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and provide recommendations for cost savings and revenue generation
- Support the accreditation process by conducting self-assessments, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and preparing for accreditation surveys
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program or recently graduated
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in healthcare or related fields is a plus
- Must have dependable transportation
Duration and Compensation:
This is an 6-week, part-time program that will run from October 2nd - November 10th with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The stipend amount is $2,500 received in four equal payments over the fall, intended to assist students in covering some of their living expenses during the program. The internship is onsite in Atlanta and we do not provide relocation or housing assistance.
